David A. Widerman

David graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University in May 1983 with a 4.0 GPA. He passed the CPA exam right before graduation and entered the internship program with Arthur Andersen. After completion of the internship contract in Chicago for a year, he was promoted to Senior for the Houston office. However, David left Arthur Anderson to accept a position with Ernst & Young Houston office. He focused on the taxation matters of large real estate developers for five years. He then moved to Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation as a Manager of Taxation, splitting his time between Oakland, LA and Houston for the following ten years.

In 1999, he opened his own CPA firm in Orange County, CA under Tax Assistors. Then it was relocated to Newport Beach to upgrade his operation under Widerman & Associates. His office is now located in the San Francisco Financial District.

Enrolled Master’s Degree Program in Taxation at Golden Gate University to update and sharpen his skills.

Working experience: Financial institution’s corporate offices, J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch. She has been working for David Widerman’s CPA office as an Administrator to serve for Customer Service and Billing.

Makiko has a life time passion in gardening and flower arrangement. In 2009, she formed a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization for educational purposes. She collaborates with other nonprofit organizations in the Bay area, New England and Japan. She is currently enrolled in U-Mass online degree program in Art Organization to enhance her art activities.
